Poiesis is etymologically derived from the ancient Greek term ποιεῖν, which means "to make". It is related to the word poetry, which shares the same root. The word is also used as a suffix, as in the biological term hematopoiesis (the formation of blood cells) and erythropoiesis (the formation of red blood cells).

Poesis, can also be understood, according to Heidegger at least, as the "bringing forth", like that of a butterfly coming out of its cocoon, or a eureka revealing itself in front of its conciever, or, as in this case, the unrevealing of my creatively weaponized autism under different forms of expression.
